The #8 mine was in Eureka County, north of Carlin, Nevada. It changed hands many times over the years. Mining began in the 1930s and continued thru the 50s. It produced mid-grade turquoise, with some high grade. The mine has been depleted for many years. Making#8 one of the top collected American turquoise today.
